About the Manga Ao Ashi
Ao Ashi is a manga series written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi. The manga has been published as a series in the seinen manga magazine Shogakukan Weekly Big Comic Spirits since January 2015. Even more surprisingly, the manga series has been adapted into an anime.
It mainly tells the story of young soccer player Ashito Aoi and his journey and experiences at the Tokyo Esperion youth academy. In 2020, the manga won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category.
A spin-off manga series, also written and illustrated by Kobayashi, entitled Aoashi Brotherfoot was serialized for five chapters in Weekly Big Comic Spirits from July 12 to August 23, 2021. All chapters were collected in a tankōbon volume, released on August 31, 2021.
